What additional council services would you like to see in your area?

YOU DECIDE

This year, the Council budget has allocated another quarter of a million pounds to Wirral's Area Forums to spend on extra council services. We want you to decide how it's spent by telling us what's needed in your area.

Last year, in 2008, over 2,000 people filled in the 'You Decide' survey to say which services they wanted in their area. The most popular themes were 'sports and youth activity' and 'cleanliness'. The services you chose last year are now being delivered across the borough. So, if you took part last year and chose services in those categories, there is a good chance you will see things like youth sports nights, litter pickers and extra bins and benches in your area.

This year, for 2009, we have made the choice of available services bigger and better. There is now a wider range of services and activities to choose from that can benefit the whole area. You are the experts about where you live so this year, we are also asking you to tell us where you think your chosen services should be placed.

Anyone can complete the paper or internet version of the questionnaire so if you think any of your friends and family would also like to take part - let them know!

After the closing date, everyone's responses will be grouped together into a list for each area forum, showing the most popular services at the top. Money will be allocated to the most suggested services.

Please follow the instructions on each question.

For queries about the survey, or for paper copies, please telephone the helpline on 0151 691 8695. If you require an alternative format please contact 0151 606 2020.
